As we can see, Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 version 4.2 has been improved with more supported video formats like FLV, F4V, VOB, AVCHD video (mts, m2ts). There was no option for MPEG movie in version 4.0. However, in version 4.2, the option shows up again which made it compatible with MPEG movies.
However, there are some video formats not supported by Adobe Premiere Pro CS4. Files in MKV, DAT, TiVo, RMVB, RM formats could be the source file for video editing. Download and install the plug-in, Moyea Importer for Adobe Premiere, and run CS4. You will find it compatible with DAT, RMVB, etc.
